- There are always plenty of people who say, "Why show compassion, she didn't show any?" These people merely re-create the same barbarism she displayed, except on an institutional level. It's shameful. We are better than that. Or at least, we should be.

- Is it just because they were dead that this is somehow problematic? I mean, is the issue that they peed on dead bodies? If that's the issue, then my view would be, pee on them first, then shoot them. Problem solved.

- I don't get the lower charge. In general, intent to cause harm is clear when one engages one's fist and directs it to another person. And when one acts with intent to cause harm, and causes death, that's murder, plain and simple.

- I really despise prosecutors. How fun is it, to forge ahead and say "Kill this person! Kill this person!!!" Regardless of the facts, and I assume she is guilty, I just can't stand these creeps. Never could.

- Without stating any opinion on whether Ms. Anthony was guilty or innocent, please count me among those who are stunned by this judge's public statements on the case. I would think in most jurisdictions this would result in a proceeding before the Judicial Conduct Committee.
